Setting up AI Reviewers

AI Reviewers are AI agents that automatically review your email templates and provide feedback based on your organization's guidelines and requirements.

Why Use AI Reviewers

AI Reviewers help you catch issues early before human review, saving time and ensuring consistency. You can use them for a wide range of tasks, such as:

  • Automated checks - Technical requirements like alt text, or required elements
  • Brand consistency - Ensuring tone, voice, and messaging align with brand guidelines
  • Compliance - Checking for required legal copy, company address, or unsubscribe links
  • Pre-send checklists - Replacing manual checklists with automated reviews

The key benefit: AI Reviewers catch common issues before your email enters the formal approval workflow, saving human reviewers time and reducing review cycles.

Best Practices

Writing Effective Instructions

  • Be specific - Clear, detailed instructions produce better results
  • Use examples - Show the AI what good and bad look like
  • Prioritize - List the most important checks first
  • Iterate - Trial and error is key to finding what works best for your needs

When to Use AI Reviewers

  • Before formal review - Catch issues early to speed up the approval process
  • For routine checks - Automate repetitive validation tasks
  • As a safety net - Add an extra layer of review for compliance-critical emails

Combining with Human Review

AI Reviewers work best alongside your approval workflow, not as a replacement. Use them to:

  1. Catch technical and compliance issues automatically
  2. Free up human reviewers to focus on strategy, creativity, and higher-level feedback
  3. Reduce the number of review cycles by fixing issues before formal submission

Tip: Start with one simple AI Reviewer and refine its instructions based on the feedback it provides. You can always create multiple specialized reviewers for different purposes.
